| Bloomfield was programme sponsor for the Emmerdale Extravaganza. | | This event started in 2003 when George Walker (George Walker Events) and Chris Chitell (Eric Pollard in the show) decided almost on a whim to organise a fund raising event involving the Emmerdale cast. They soon decided that the beneficiary was to be the Anthony Nolan Trust which helps take back lives from leukaemia. |
| Having held the event in Aberdeen for 5 years 2008 was the first of what is expected to be a 5 year stretch in Northern Ireland. Hosted by the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra it raised in the region of £120,000 for the charity. Part of the sponsorship package was a fourball in the Emmerdale Golf Classic which Bloomfield gave away as a prize in an easy to enter competition. A chance to meet Paddy the Vet was the prize in a competition run around the time of the Centre’s Wet Nose Day. For more information log on to www.georgewalkerevents.co.uk |
