Held in Bangor Castle Leisure Centre between 19th and 21st December this is Northern Ireland’s largest swimming gala of the season and is always a memorable event.

Swimmers from all over Ulster will be competing to win or achieve personal bests in over 44 categories during this fast paced gala which is a must for swimmers and spectators alike.  Heats start each day at 10a.m.

It will be Bloomfield Shopping Centre’s first involvement as a sponsor of such an event. Centre manager Jamie Bill said ‘I’m not alone in really looking forward to this year’s Ulster Championships.  It is an inspired move by Swim Ulster to bring the event to Bangor this year meaning this will be very much its traditional home by the time the new 50m pool opens in 2011’.

With Christmas just round the corner the organisers will be creating a real party atmosphere with festive fun, freebies and a few surprises!

So stick on your Santa hat, grab some mistletoe and come down to Bangor Castle Leisure Centre for some festive cheer and the chance to see some of our Youth Commonwealth and Olympic medal winners in action!
